So I started renting the original Star Trek series…and, well…oh my God. This show sports some of the worst acting and general set design I could possibly conceive. And William Shatner is really something else…all his bad mannerisms are perfectly preserved on these DVDs…that bizarre run of his, that damaged timing…by all means, this show should be BAD.
But you know what? I’m down. It’s so much fun, the insane plot-lines are excellent and Sulu is handsome as ever. While it’s definitely not gonna make me a Trekkie, when I’m done with the TV series, I’m jumping into the motion pictures. What’s better than The Wrath of Khan? The Wrath of Khan after seeing why he’s been so angry since the ’60s!
