A Poem for Valentine’s Day

This is a poem i have written in honor of today. It just gets to me knowing how much love is in the world and i can only hope that everybody has somebody special to spend it with. This one is for you, Sock. I miss you. I call my poem, 

 

The Winter Flower

I bloom only in the dark desolate night

My foliage is heavy with the weight of the world upon them

My roots grow deeper and deeper into the

The Ground

The Ground

My soul

Ever so anchoring me to this merciless society

Only searching for that ray of light to shine down and nourish my bright burnished face

Hoping, waiting for that chance to bloom once more

Never more

I am the Winter Flower
