Every Girl’s Favorite Color.

So I went to buy a practice/portable amp yesterday and the black ones were out of stock. The sales guy on the phone told me that the pink ones were in stock so he’d place the order for it instead as if I didn’t have a choice in the color. Just because he heard a female voice on the phone, that meant that when I asked for the black amp, I really meant pink. MAYBE the situation would be different if he had offered me a vintage brown color. But, no. Pink.

Of course, this could lead to the bigger discussion of why is a musician who is female a “female musician” and not just a “musician”? I don’t get it so let’s just leave things back at the pink amp.
