YAR! Another big week last week, but not a ton I felt like talking about. Here’s what I decided to care about.
Agents of Atlas #3 was good, as expected. Best part? Namora finally getting some page time to grieve for her daughter who died in the opening of 2006′s Civil War. That was nice. A.
The Amazing Spider-Man #590 features the first part of a Spidey/ Fantastic Four team-up, with some VERY interesting questions pertaining to One More Day raised by the always fun Human Torch. A.
Captain America Comics 70th Anniversary Special, the first of a series of specials celebrating Marvel’s early history. This issue featured absolutely gorgeous Marcos Martin art that makes the book worth it alone. The story is excellent also, with a last line I want to get tattooed on my CHEST. A+.
Destroyer #1 from Marvel’s “adult” line, is a story about a Golden Age hero who’s almost out of time. And he’s going to spend the rest of it destroying. Super hero insanity from Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker. Yay! B.
Marvel Assistant-Sized Spectacular #1: Jacob Chabot. Chris Giarrusso. American Eagle. BUY THIS BOOK NOW. A.
Secret Warriors #3: I smell Howling Commandos! A-.
War of Kings #2: Paul Pelletier is like, the best penciler ever. Forget this book has X-Men, the Inhumans, Kree, Shi’ar, a giant space war and tons of insanity. Paul Pelletier is drawing it. It must be stared at. A+.
I’m actually going to go stare at it some more. Aloha!
