My my my, what a tourist trap! On our way after seeing the Badlands we stopped in at Wall Drug to check things out, fuel up, and partake in some good old fashioned picture taking. I could have spent all day at this place, it’s insane. So much useless crap to buy that I of course don’t need. But for some reason a mug with a buffalo on it just isn’t the same if it doesn’t have South Dakota written on it. Makes your tea taste a little more Native America and I like that. My only problem with this place is their restaurant menu. They have sea food. SEA-FOOD. You know, like from the sea. Which we are nowhere near! I’m pretty sure you could drive for a day and not see an ocean. We are in the middle of the country and way too far away from the coast of Chicago. This stuff can not be fresh at all. I make it a rule to never eat sea food from a place unless I can smell the sea air. Oh, and they had brown lettuce. That I didn’t see coming. Besides questionable cuisine, I really loved this place. We got to take sweet pictures with a giant stuffed buffalo, a mini Mount Rushmore, a bucking bronco, and this amazing new animal I have never seen before called a jackalope. Apparently they are all over this part of the country. They look like a dear had sex with a rabbit (which is awesome to think about btw.) Amazing looking little critter though. I really hope I get to come across a live one out here on the trails. The cashier guy said I have to be very careful because they can get pretty big and be very territorial. Off to Mount Rushmore!!!
