HERKIMER: “What in the hell are you talking about?”
Panel 2
JOHNNY: “You’ve seriously NEVER heard of the Marshlander!? ‘The Bog That Walks1?’ ‘The Heap of Death?’ No?”
HERKIMER: “Nope.”
Panel 3
JOHNNY: “Our town has a legendary creature lurking around, and you’ve never heard of it!? Well listen up, cos I’m gonna educate you!”

CAPTION: “It was during the Cold War, a Soviet spy intercepted a secret formula conceived by the U.S. Government’s top think-tank!”

CAPTION: “But he was found out! He knew it wouldn’t be long until he was caught with the evidence, and fled into the marshland!”

CAPTION: “So he drank the serum! But he had no idea what he was in for!”

CAPTION: “He began to change! His molecular structure began merging with the elements of the marsh around him!”

CAPTION: “And thus, he became the wandering mass known as THE MARSHLANDER.”
